HTE-610WL Low Voltage Detector

HASEGAWA HTE-610WL is a pen-type low voltage detector with a built-in LED torch in its tip. On AC 50 V – 1000 V circuits it detects voltage through the sheath of insulated cable; inside dark panels it lights up the work area and signals voltage with an intermittent red light and tone.

The model is designed especially for electricians working on basement distribution boards, in suspended-ceiling voids, in machine control cabinets and on night-time fault call-outs. Made in Japan, it is supplied as a genuine HASEGAWA product with a commercial invoice by HASEGAWA Türkiye, the official distributor in Türkiye.

Where is it used?

• Poorly lit panels: To see the terminal and fuse area and check for voltage at the same time, without holding a separate torch.
• Night-time fault teams: To check quickly, in the dark after a power cut, whether a circuit really is dead.
• Cable trays and ceiling voids: Because detection works through the sheath, cables do not need to be stripped.
• Field maintenance kit: At 22 g it travels in a pocket as the first check at the start of every job.

The LED is switched on with the test button and switches off by itself after about 30 seconds, so the battery is not wasted if it is forgotten. The detector function works without interruption whether the light is on or off. According to our current product data, the LED light also gives an indication of the battery level.

Detection sensitivity, voltage range and safety ratings are identical on both models. If you often work in dark conditions, choose the HTE-610WL; if you do not need a light and longer battery life is your priority, the HTE-610W is the right choice.

Limits of use and safety

The detector is for AC low-voltage installations only; it must not be used on DC systems or on lines above 1000 V. Before and after the measurement, confirm that it works on a point known to be live. Detection can be affected on shielded cables, conductors inside metal conduit, or damp and dirty surfaces; the absence of an alarm is not, on its own, permission to work safely. Use below 0 °C is outside the temperature limit. Before work, apply the steps of disconnection, lockout and tagging.
